The Integrated Transport Authority (ITA) is proposing to take control of Tyne and Wear’s bus services through so-called ‘Quality Contracts’. We, and many others, strongly believe this would see fares go up and the quality of services go down.
We welcome positive change but do not believe ‘Quality Contracts’ offer the best way forward.
